Racine, Victor Kuo, and Paul Zabal. James P. Racine
CEO
Co-founder of JVP Capital LLC, has over 34 years of real estate investment and management experience, with over $1.3 billion closed transactions. In 1993, Jim founded Golden State Financial Group, Inc. and as acting President created Racine Properties. This real estate division of Golden State Financial Group Inc. is responsible for purchasing and selling residential and commercial investments. Jim also founded Red Door Financial, a full-service mortgage bank under the GSF Group, Inc. umbrella, with an available warehouse line of $8M. In 2020, Mr. Racine founded a new corporation, Premier Realty & Associates, a luxury real estate firm in Southern California, specializing in high-end assets. Prior to this James has held leadership positions of increasing responsibility in business development, corporate development, marketing, and sales strategy since the late 90’s at three of the nation’s largest lending institutions. James attended San Diego State University and holds a California Department of Real Estate Broker License (DRE#01231487), licensed with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS#369296), and licensed under the California Department of Financial Protection (DFPI).
Victor Kuo
CFO
Before joining JVP as a partner, Victor Kuo was a Managing Director of Mind ID Trading, where he was set up and managed the commercial functions of all mining assets under the government of Indonesia. He specializes in commodities trading with 22 years of experience in the supply chain management, procurement, and distribution of essential raw materials form global producers to manufacturers. While studying Psychology at UCLA, Victor worked for a hedge fund founded by his mentor and traded commodity future contracts on the CME exchanges. Later he would join the world’s largest trading company Glencore, where he managed the Asian and Chinese Aluminum trading desks. After Glencore, Victor would be responsible for running the refined metal desks at Trafigura before becoming the CEO for Kyen Resources where he sets up an independent trading company for Chinese shareholders with vested interests in the import of key commodities. Victor believes that the pursuit of knowledge and creating valuable connections with people are the keys to success and generating value.
